A new class for adults 40+ who want to stay active, strong, and capable—without the pressure of high-intensity workouts or the boredom of gym machines.
This class is designed for people who want to keep doing the things they love, without feeling like their body is holding them back. It’s about training smart, building resilience, and feeling better in your day-to-day life.
Rooted in the concept of kaizen, or continuous improvement, each session focuses on small, consistent progress that adds up over time. No crash programs. No burnout. Just movement that supports a long, healthy life.
Functional Fitness is not a martial arts program. While it's offeed through Kaizen Karate &Martial Arts, this is not a karate class adapted for fitness, like kickboxing, Tae Bo, or martial arts cardio. There are no strikes, forms, or sparring.
You don’t need to be in great shape to start. You just need to be ready to take care of yourself in a new way.
Our 6-week pilot program begins in January, and we’re starting small so we can shape the class around the people in it.
